Frank van Brunschot

Fine Furniture

BACKGROUND

Frank van Brunschot is a qualified cabinetmaker. He began his career with an apprenticeship in Toowoomba restoring antiques and making reproductions. After this he worked for various restorers and furniture makers throughout Brisbane and interstate.

In 2004 Frank completed an honours fine arts degree at the Australian National University. After completing his degree, Frank spent time working in a furniture conservation workshop. During this time he worked on many important pieces from private collections, galleries and institutions. In 2007 Frank opened his own workshop which focuses on new commissions and furniture restoration.

WHAT WE DID

We worked with Frank & helped clarify his business objectives. The workshop handles a broad range of work and styles & thus his identity needed to reflect this. We recommended that a fairly simple approach, through a word mark, should be taken in order to stand out from many other woodworkers that tend to use over complicated symbols and decorative motifs. We created business cards, leaflets and a website to help showcase his work.

OUTCOME

“Creating the brand identity and marketing materials has been a really major step for us. It has provided the platform we need to clearly communicate the care and professionalism with which we approach each job. Our website has taken us to a new level & continues to provide a constant source of work.”
